Some engagement sessions just feel effortless, and Corey and Augustus' evening in downtown Raleigh was exactly that.
From the moment we met up, it felt less like a photo session and more like spending time with two people who genuinely love making each other laugh. They brought the best energy, trusted the process completely, and weren't afraid to simply enjoy the moment together—which always makes for the most meaningful photographs.
Downtown Raleigh is one of my favorite places for engagement sessions because every corner offers something a little different. From charming brick streets and historic architecture to modern city textures and quiet pockets tucked away from the crowds, it creates the perfect backdrop without ever taking attention away from the couple.
But what made this session so special wasn't the location….
it was Corey and Augustus.
Their chemistry is so natural. Every smile, every glance, every burst of laughter happened organically. There was no forcing poses or trying to create moments that weren't already there. We simply wandered through the city, talked, laughed, and documented exactly who they are together.
Those are always my favorite sessions.
